Alfalfa is a plant belonging to the Fabaceae family. It is also known as lucerne, purple alfalfa, true alfalfa, meadow worms. Alfalfa has long been linked to the treatment of some diseases. Its natural properties made it effective in combating gastric ulcers, pain caused by arthritis and to stop fluid retention. However, with the advancement of study techniques, other health benefits were eventually discovered. It has been proven by scientists that alfalfa can be used in the treatment of heart disease, strokes and cancer.

According to animal studies, alfalfa helps to lower blood cholesterol levels, as well as deposit plaques on the walls of the arteries. As a form of cancer prevention, the plant sticks to the cancer cells in the intestine, causing the body to expel them more easily. Its properties do not stop there.
