Description:

The carapiá is a typical grass of Brazil, generally found in tropical regions. Small in size, it has reddish flowers and a glass shape. Recently its medicinal properties have been used for home treatments. The herb became known after being documented by Dr. Nathaniel Hodges as part of a prescription given by the doctor to patients suffering from an epidemic in seventeenth-century London.
