It has a fragrant and burnt flavor and can be used in cooking in both sweet and savory dishes.

Cardamom was long chewed by the Egyptians as a means of cleaning their teeth and refreshing their breath. Only afterwards were discovered its medicinal properties, so it became part of natural products aimed at health benefits.

The oil extracted from the plant warms slightly and serves as an excellent analgesic, helping relieve pains such as cramps and gas. It can also be used to soften feelings of nausea or poor digestion.
