Description:

Originated in the American continent, the weed is a plant that belongs to the family Polygonaceae and has as its scientific name Polygonum acre. It can grow in floodplains, swamps and in places where there are water paths. It can also be known as water pepper, acataia, curage, black pepper, cataia and capiçoba, this plant is between 50 cm and 1 m in height, its leaves have a green color with red lists and look like spears. It is widely used as a medicinal plant.

The infusion described above is ideal for treating problems such as poor circulation (as it serves as a stimulant), varicose veins, urinary infections, rheumatism, skin infections, hair loss, muscle aches, among other ailments.

Remember that for skin problems, sores, itchiness and boils, it is important not only to consume the tea, but also to prepare it as an ointment and apply on the needy place. Simply put the chopped leaves of the herb weed in a clean cloth, smother it well and place it on a sieve that is on top of a pan with boiling water. The leaves on the cloth will absorb the vapors, and then apply to the affected parts while they are still warm. Leave it on for 10 minutes, and repeat the procedure daily, 2 times a day, until it is definitely cured.
