Winter Savory Herb - Satureja montana L.

The savory, scientific name Satureja montana , is a medicinal plant, also popularly known as winter-savannah and alfavaca-do-campo. Very used in the treatment of gastrointestinal problems, this special aroma plant can reach up to 30 cm in height, has thin leaves finished in tip and its flowers are small, of white or pink coloration. Its leaves have a thyme-like but more spicy taste and are appreciated as a condiment in the preparation of culinary dishes.
The properties of the savory include its astringent, aphrodisiac, analgesic, aromatic, digestive, stimulant, fungicidal and tonic action.

- Intestinal problems
- Sore throat
- Put 1 teaspoon of savory in a cup of boiling water
- Let macerate for 10 minutes
- Then strain and drink
Drink 3 times a day.
