Description:
The plant known as a silver lily is scientifically named Banistera argyrophylla, which occurs more frequently in the cerrado and the border of the Pantanal Sul Mato Grosso. From the Malpighiaceae family, the silver lupine is a large vine and woody plant with thin, elongated branches, as well as leaves that are opposite and ovate with a dark green coloration. Its flowers are fringed and have white and yellow coloration, being present in the tree reunited in panicle umbels, or in compound corymbos. Its fruit is a chamber with winged back and its flowering happens during the summer.

The plant, when used for the preparation of teas, has medicinal benefits. It has diuretic properties acting very positively in the elimination of uric acid. It can be used to treat kidney problems such as pinning urine, kidney pain, kidney stones, and bladder problems. In addition, it is useful in the treatment of cystitis and in the fight against uric acid and gout attacks. It can also be used as an anti-inflammatory - in the treatment of inflammation and pain - or in the treatment of bladder rashes, ovarian bleeding, nephritis and bleaching of blemishes and skin.

Directions:
- Add 2 tablespoons of the herb in a liter of water
- Let it cook for 5 minutes after it reaches boil
- Cover and let rest for 10 minutes
- Strain and drink
How to drink:
Take 2 to 3 cups a day.
Contraindications:
When consumed at the indicated doses, there is no toxicity. When used in very high doses, it may present signs of toxicity not yet reported, but there are no recorded cases of death. The infusion should be consumed at most three times a day at intervals of approximately 8 hours.
