Known worldwide as Leonotis nepetifolia, Lion’s Ear is a tropical plant of the mint family (Lamiaceae) that originates in tropical Africa and southern India, although it can also be found in certain subtropical regions of Asia, Africa and America. In Brazil it occurs in almost all regions, except for the South, because it is very cold, and the plant does not adapt and such conditions. Lion’s Ear is widely used in certain cases of diseases in the airways.

Health benefits:

The plant has properties, being an excellent natural medicine, mainly for respiratory problems like asthma, bronchitis, among others. In addition, it can help in recovery of the red blood cell rate, helping to give more resistance to the body of children who have recently come out of pictures of debilitating diseases.

It can also be used to treat weakness, rheumatism, gas, cystitis, uric acid, fever, abdominal pain, stomach problems, spasms, neuralgia and malaria.
