Valeme is a shrub that can reach a height of between three and four meters. Its leaves are alternate and oval, and have thin, short and soft hair. Its flowers appear in the form of spikes, white on the ends, aromatic and, like the leaves, hairy. Its fruit is a capsule with three stores, each of which has a lump. From the family of the Euphorbiaceae, tree is native to the Brazilian flora, appearing throughout the country, but mainly in the southeastern and northeastern regions.

  1. Put 2 tablespoons of herb to a liter of water
  2. Turn off when the water reaches boil
  3. Cover and leave the solution muffled for about 10 minutes
  4. Strain and drink

How to Drink:

Take 2 to 3 cups a day.

For cases of flu, fevers and hemorrhages, make the decoction with the leaves. To treat syphilis and to use its application as a depurative, make the decoction with the root. Already in cases of gastric ulcers, and for other purposes, both the leaf and the root can be used together in a decoction.  For skin problems, it is recommended that concomitant use of ingested tea be used, which should also be used to make compresses - these can also be made with the leaves.
